Fall is here, and UchiKano: Living With My Girlfriend is a love story for the ages. To be clear, MangaGamer and a "new" company called Argonauts are working together on this unique project.
But even though we don't know much about the Argonauts, you'll be glad to hear that they are closely related to MOONSTONE. A creator is best known for either Princess Evangile or Magical Marriage Lunatics, both of which are about love.
Each of these games puts a lot of focus on stories that really make you feel something. This is no different, as UchiKano comes into the picture with a vivid art style and a simple story.
So many stories this year have been full of action. Could this be the one to slow things down and make us feel good? Or will it all have been for nothing? How well does it work?
Story
It's hard to live by yourself, but what if you had a lover? Even better, how about two? the same time?
Tachibanaki Keisuke is a young man who has been an adult for one year. Even though the company he works for is small, it's always been the job he wanted, and his life is pretty good.
Except… He's living on his own for the first time in his life, and it's getting hard for him. Then, a certain thought comes into his head...
"If only I had a date..."
One day, though, Keisuke hurts his arm. So, Chika and Yuri, two beautiful girls, move in to help him. Even though they are both very flashy, they are both kind and loyal girls.
They decide to help Keisuke with his daily life, which is now very hard for him because of his illness. But they each have their own hopes and dreams... and are happy to tell him all their secrets...
Conclusion
UchiKano: Living with my Girlfriend is an excellent look at love that everyone should see. Keisuke and Ayame had a pure, funny friendship, and I couldn't have asked for more.
Also, I don't think there's anything wrong with the story, localization, characters, art, music, or anything else. UchiKano is a great story to have when things aren't going well because it will always make you smile.
